Frequently Asked Questions
Our service is to locate the water leak. If our engineers can fix the problem quickly and easily with the parts they are carrying then they will, usually at no extra cost. If however, they need a specialist part or a second visit to do the repair we will quote you for the repair separately .
We have carried thousands of leak detection jobs, our Google reviews are nearly always 5-stars. Before we consider attending your property we have a lengthy conversation with you and ask a number of relevant questions to ensure we understand the nature of the problem. We want our engineers to arrive with good prior knowledge and to have a high degree of confidence, we want to keep getting the 5-star reviews. We always find the problem, what we can’t be sure about is how quickly we can find it, which affects costs.
We always strive to get to the physical pipe that is leaking. If this means cutting holes in floors or walls we will do our best to do so. We are happy to dig holes for external leaks, this is limited to soft ground and limited in-depth, usually no deeper than 750mm. If the ground has a hard covering, tarmac, concrete, pavers etc, then our engineers will talk to you about the best way forward given any time and cost limitations that may exist
If we consider there are steps you can take in advance of our visit then we will have talked this through with you. Examples of this might be, some limited opening up work, isolation of certain pipes, locating the position of the shut of valves etc. However, if you are unable or are not confident to do this then you can leave it to us
We do our very best to be as least damaging and minimally invasive as possible. If we can do a complete repair within the time and cost restraints we will strive to do so. We cannot guarantee to repair any damage caused by our investigation. Insurance companies will usually undertake such repairs as part of a further claim. We are happy to quote for any such property repairs as a separate matter
